Description
Kaycee Nickell brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as a hitting coach (specializing in lefty slapping), infield/outfield instruction, base running and speed and agility. Kaycee played Division 1 college softball for Loyola University Chicago, earning All – Newcomer Horizon League accolades and the starting shortstop position as a freshmen. Kaycee had the honor and privilege of competing against some of the best teams in college softball including Cal State Fullerton, Northwestern, DePaul, University of Georgia, University of Washington, and *UCLA.* While attending Loyola University, Kaycee earned her bachelor’s degree in the field of Nursing. Kaycee went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration and ultimately , a doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) from IUPUI. Kaycee is also a former two time, first team All-State standout at New Albany High School. After graduating from Loyola and moving back to the Southern IN area, Kaycee was an assistant coach at Holy Cross in Louisville, KY for two seasons where she helped several players reach their dreams of playing collegiate softball.
Kaycee is an excellent role model for young women, with tremendous passion for the game, and possesses a personality that will engage and inspire those she coaches. She is eager to join The Lab and looks forward to working with youth in the community.
